MY BACKGROUND:

- Education

  • University of Rochester, graduated 2002
  • BA Political Science and Economics
  • Undergraduate Business Certificate in Accounting and Finance from the Simon School Of Business @ UofR

I am also a student of my business. I seek out the most difficult professional designations to further my knowledge and increase my value to our clients. My extensive ongoing training is evidenced by the many designations I hold and maintain with required continuing education.

- Designations

- Professional Associations

  • Dove Youth Development – Helping at Risk Youth in Dominican Republic – Fund Raiser, contributor, and child sponsor.
  • Seatuck Environmental – Protecting the Local Long Island Habitat – Our Practice volunteers our time to help on location during the year as well.
  • Uniformed Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association – Annual Sponsor of Major Golf Outing and other community programs.
  • Annual Sponsor of Public Radio as well as many charities that provide support for our fellow citizens in need, the environment, and to protect nature, both in USA and across the world.
  • Regularly provide free adult financial education to the Hauppauge, Sachem, and Kings Park Library systems

- Community Participation

As an Eagle Scout, I was trained at a young age to engage in service above self. To respect nature and to chip in to help the needs of our community. I was always taught that many hands make a light lift. I very much believe in the mission and values of the Scouting America Program and strive to live its values and ideals. I am involved in our local Scouting Unit and at a council level, providing professional expertise where necessary, as well as helping with donor relations and charitable giving strategies. I volunteer and support our National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Chapter.

My charitable inclinations do carry over into our successful local financial planning practice in a number of ways. Our practice sponsors a high school student and a university student in the Dominican Republic, and I work closely with Dove Youth Development, a charity focused on helping at-risk youth, also in the Dominican Republic. We also support a wide array of local and national public charities focused on protecting youth and the environment. For the past 10 years, we have also participated as a team supporting local food pantries and other on-the-ground support services for the needy in our Annual Practice Day of Service, usually in November.  We are adding more days of service as of 2026. Our sponsorship of Seatuck has offered us more ways to physically get involved with our local communities and give back both with our time and treasure.

ABOUT ME:

I live in Rocky Point on the edge of the Pine Barrens in what we joke is the Wild America of Long Island. I grew up in Rocky Point, bought my 1st house at 25 in Sound Beach, and recently moved back to Rocky Point when I was married in 2018 to my dear friend Melissa, the love of my life, and the mother of my two children, Wesley and Wyatt. As a family, we love to cook, go on adventures, and build things. I started my financial planning practice right out of college and have never done anything else for work outside of being a Summer Camp Counselor at Yawgoog Scout Reservation in RI for 3 years as a certified shooting sports instructor.

I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling with my children. I have always loved to cook and bake. I have a passion for cars and driving. As a good Eagle Scout, I have a great interest in outdoor and high adventure activities such as camping, hiking & white water rafting. I also enjoy being outdoors in the garden, flower planting, bonsai, and orchid growing.
